Ben Holland Sound offers a full solution for television sound. From live studio to post production, Ben has been been responsible for the sound on many of the biggest and most-loved shows on TV.
After graduating from the prestigious Tonmeister degree course at the University of Surrey, Ben started his career at Westdeutsche Rundfunk in Köln (Germany) working in sound design and music production. He joined the sound department at The London Studios (TLS) in 2000 and quickly became well known for a high standard of work, which short-listed him ‘Best Young Audio Engineer’ in 2002’s B+ Talent Awards. At TLS, Ben gained a huge breadth of experience working on a diverse range of shows both in studio and post such as ‘Blind Date’, ‘An Audience with…’, ‘Alright on the night’, ‘Parkinson’, ‘Gimme, Gimme, Gimme’, ‘Record of the year’, and ‘The Brit Awards’.
He has developed a reputation for quality and attention to detail due in part to his involvement in two of ITV’s most successful award winning shows, ‘Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ and ‘Loose Women’.
Ben left TLS in 2007 to embark on his freelance career and until July 2011 carried on acting as head of sound for ‘Loose Women’ and ‘Lorraine’.
Having studied music, and as a committed musician Ben has a natural instinct for mixing music. He keeps his ears trained by playing guitar in several bands including a big band, a jazz quartet, and a fusion band.
